How can I let someone know that I'm praying for them?

PrayMore offers several options to contact and encourage those for whom you are praying.

It is very encouraging when a brother or sister tells you that they are praying for you. Paul knew this well and included in many letters not only the fact that he was constantly praying for them but also what his prayers contained. He used phrases like "remembering you in my prayers," (Ephesians) "always in every prayer of mine for you," (Philippians) and "we have not ceased to pray for you" (Colossians) to communicate his deep love and brotherly affection.

Find the Prayer Request

If you already see the prayer that you wish to respond to, skip ahead here

Begin with your Feed screen. If you need to find it, simply tap on the Feed icon at the bottom of most screens. If your current screen does not have the icons along the bottom, tap on Back at the top left of any other screen to have them appear.

Once in the Feed screen, tap on the search icon (magnifying glass) in the upper right.

Begin typing the name of the person you want to encourage. Their name will appear after you've typed a few letters.

Select the Means to Respond

At the bottom of the prayer request, you will find the three means to share with your brother or sister.

Tap on the first icon to send a text, the second an email, and the third to make a phone call.

The first two options will have a preselected default response. It will greet the person, give your first name, and list the specific request for which you are praying.  It enables you to quickly inform the brother or sister that you're praying. The two defaults will look like this respectively:

Text                                                                                        Email

Please consider including a personal message. If you struggle finding the words you think would be most appropriate, take a few moments and send a Bible verse that would encourage.

A Phone Call is the Best!

If you are given the option to call, please do so. A phone call has many advantages. Your voice can communicate emotions better than words alone can do. You can get more information quickly regarding the request. It's just more personal. In our technological age we often cheat the Holy Spirit out of manifesting God's love in the best way by putting a premium on efficiency and projects completed. If the phone option is available, take it!

Upon tapping on the phone receiver icon, the number will appear at the bottom of your screen.
